HDMI Cables

To get the best from a BluRay disc an HDMI cable is a must.  But what is HDMI?

HDMI stands for High-Definition Multimedia Interface which is the first industry wide uncompressed Digital video and audio interface.  It supports high definition video and 8-Channel digital audio.

There are many HDMI cables available at a wide range of prices, since HDMI cables carry a digital signal (1’s and 0’s) rather than a traditional analogue signal, the signal either arrives or not!  Therefore we at Bluray Player Choice are a firm believer in buying a middle of the range cable, sturdy enough to handle kinks and abuse, but not over engineered!

If you need a longer cable this Labgear cable is a good choice, as with the shorter Linx cable it is 24K Gold and oxygen free.

For the best price try the range of HDMI cables on offer from Amazon in their “Basics” range.  Amazon basics products carry a 1 year warranty, and despite being a budget line have received positive customer reviews.

 

Monster MC 1000HDex-22m Ultra Speed HDMI Cables

If you must buy the most extravagant cable on the market the Monster Cable could be for you.  But at over £300 it’s only for the best of the best home cinema systems!
